He directed notable films like Cool Runnings, While You Were Sleeping, and The Meg.

Beyond his directorial achievements, Turteltaub is also recognized for his commitment to mentoring aspiring filmmakers and nurturing emerging talent. He has served as a mentor and advisor in prestigious film programs and has been an active advocate for promoting diversity and inclusion in the entertainment industry. He is also engaged in several philanthropic and civic ventures, including serving on the RepresentUs creative council.
