J.J. Huggins works on the PR & Communications team at Patagonia, a California-based outdoor clothing company that uses its brand’s voice to inspire solutions to the environmental crisis, and to improve society’s wellbeing. Patagonia created the Time to Vote movement with more than 400 other companies ahead of the midterm elections in 2018. The election had the highest turnout for a U.S. midterm in four decades. The Time to Vote coalition looks forward to recruiting more American companies to pledge to give their employees time to vote in the November 3, 2020 elections, because no worker should have to choose between voting and earning a paycheck. In his role at Patagonia, J.J. helps manage media relations, as well as the execution of Time to Vote and Patagonia’s election strategy. J.J. has been with Patagonia since 2012 and previously spent seven years as a news reporter in Massachusetts.
