For nearly two decades Ben Patinkin has been a lead strategist for political candidates, ballot issue, labor unions and issue advocacy campaigns across the United States. Over the years, both at PRS and at his former firm, Grove Insight, Ben has developed a solid reputation as an expert on election reform issues.
Among other election related successes, his work helped defeat a voter ID ballot issue in Minnesota in 2012 and a repeal of same-day voter registration in Montana in 2014. His polling was also a critical component in the passage of automatic voter registration in Alaska in 2016 and then through legislative action in multiple states in subsequent years. Ben was one of the lead strategists behind the victory of Ballot Measure 1 (top four / RCV) in Alaska in 2020 and followed that up with in-depth message research that contributed to a similar win in Nevada in 2022.
Ben holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. He’s also a graduate of the Riva Training Institute, one of the premier focus group training and moderation institutes in the country.
