Julia Olson is the Founder, Executive Director, and Chief Legal Counsel of Our Children’s Trust, the non-profit public interest law firm that provides strategic, campaign-based legal services to youth from diverse backgrounds to secure their legal rights to a safe climate system. Our Children’s Trust represents the plaintiffs in Held v. State of Montana, where the first-ever constitutional climate trial in the nation’s history in June 2023 resulted in a sweeping win in August, and in Navahine F. v. Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation, which is scheduled to be the second-ever constitutional climate case to go to trial in the U.S. in June 2024.
