Jonathan Diaz

Jonathan Diaz is Legal Counsel, Voting Rights at the Campaign Legal Center, a non-profit, non-partisan democracy reform organization based in Washington, DC. Jonathan’s work focuses on increasing access to the right to vote for all Americans through litigation, policy advocacy, and public outreach and education. He has served as counsel in numerous recent voting rights cases, including Jones v. DeSantis, challenging Florida’s financial limitations on rights restoration for returning citizens, Fair Fight Action v. Raffensperger, challenging discriminatory aspects of Georgia’s election system, and Common Cause R.I. v. Gorbea, challenging Rhode Island’s witness requirement for absentee ballots during the pandemic. In addition to his work at CLC, Jonathan was also an Election Law Analyst for CNN during the 2020 election cycle. Before joining CLC, Jonathan was a litigation associate at Jenner & Block LLP in New York. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and the University of Miami.
